Drag Race Challenge Air Strip Oman Drag Race is a Weekend drag race event organized and managed by the Oman Automobile Association, supported by Civil Aviation Authority, Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth. It is considered the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman and in an Airstrip (Ras Al Hadd Airport) In this event, the aim to provide an opportunity for the public to experience this racing for various automobile (supercars, electric cars, regular cars, four-wheel drive cars etc.) and educate them about the (Safety) safe racing while supporting the automobile activities in Oman. The event consists of the racing area and the entertainment area, in which events accompanying the race are held, such as (competitions, plays, popular bands, Paragliding, etc.) and allocating spaces for small and medium enterprises such as (restaurants, garages, etc). How it works: Cars will run one at a time. There will be a 50m staging, then acceleration the calculated zone will start 50m from the start point to 402m ¼ Mile, the timing will be calculated in seconds for the fastest car from point A to Pont B (402m), speed will be displayed for information. After the chequered flag, cars must slow down immediately and once exit the runway return to the pits at 60kmh.
